THE BAND

Having started in the summer of 2011, Overnight Tragedy is just 5 friends who came together through a mutual love of music and wanting to have fun. OT has come to refinee their sound to include the agressiveness of Hardcore bands such as The Ghost Inside, and Parkway Drive, the melody and groove of Progressive Metal bands such as Intervals, and Coheed and Cambria with the vocal hybrids of screaming, rapping and singing in a way that has never been heard before.

Overnight Tragedy's main goal is to create music that anyone and everyone can listen to and relate to while keeping their musical approach fresh and original, as well as hoping to cross over and gain the interest of people that are into either Heavy Metal and/or Hip Hop, R&B. All while showing people that 5 guys from The Bronx and Harlem can push past their surroundings, negativity, and tell their story through music.

After a few local shows in Brooklyn OT quickly took their local scene by storm after headlining The Studio at Webster Hall in January of 2013. The band has been hard at work writing and recording music constantly with the hope to release their 1st EP in the very near future which will be followed up by a full length record some time later, though they have been playing its material live already.

In addition to headlining venues such as Webster Hall and Tammany Hall, Overnight Tragedy has played with major acts such as The Agonist (Century Media Records), Stardog Champions (Former Breaking Bejamin Members), These Hearts (Victory Records), and My Hearts to Fear (Solid State Records) all within a year of playing live shows, showing they are ambitious and able to play in just about any kind of Metal scene and have people remember their name and sound by the end of the night.
